On the one hand, there are the elements of espionage in place, and at other times, we get the routine, predictable clichéd drama and comedy. There is a tonal inconsistency in Vishwaroopam 2. It is an uneasy mix, and that is the undoing of the movie. It also means unlike the first part, the movie also lacks a certain flair in the making and veers into the typical commercial potboiler territory. ![]() Now, Vishwaroopam 2 takes over in that department. ![]() Vishwaroopam 1, as a director was the most commercial venture of Kamal Haasan. If there is any complaint, then that would be in the direction department. The star gets to do action, comedy and sentiment in equal doses and he impresses, as usual in all of them. Vishwaroopam is a whole one-man show by Kamal Haasan. Wizam’s (Kamal Haasan) past and present are explored as part of the narrative. It fills in the missing pieces of the first part and also concludes the open threads. Vishwaroopam 2 is a true continuation of Vishwaroopam.
